This home has exceeded expectations for a beach style bach! While it might be small in size (two bedrooms) it’s big in both style and practicality.
Features of this home include the stunning exterior contrast of a plaster finish with vertical timber cladding. Inside the negative detailing of the ply raked ceiling stand out, alongside skylights which create more space and light. Plus, it even includes a cleverly designed scullery!
The garage is extremely versatile and is a great spot for the grandchildren to play. And the size has not limited the entertaining capabilities, with great indoor and outdoor flow, including an inviting deck. Located close to the beach, this bach style home fits right in!
This large Papamoa property had been subdivided with the family home at the front and a rental out the back. With all the children having long left home, the family home was now too big for what Carol needed. She wanted to downsize and create a beachy style bach where she could relax and unwind. But which also had the practicality to house the grandies when they visited, as well as entertaining family and friends.
So she decided to sell the family home in the front and demolish the back house and build her new abode!
Carol had lots of ideas of what she wanted to achieve with her new build. She worked closely with our designer to accomplish her vision, who drew up the design plans for her.
Carol is semi-retired and while we were building the home, she spent time at friends and travelled around the country in her caravan.
